Rennard Permanent Cosmetics Lip Blush Lip Treatments that give you beautiful, lasting color.

Most women will testify that a good lipstick can instantly boost your confidence, so how about waking up with perfect-looking lips every single day?

Here at Rennard Permanent Cosmetics, I understand the importance of a good lippy. The semi-permanent lip blush treatment has the ability to restore lost colour to your pale lips, define the shape of your cupid’s bow and gives your thinning lips the illusion of being fuller and juicier. I mix pigments together to create a bespoke colour match, individually suited just to you. Whether you want to match your existing lipstick, go bold and bright or have that natural blush of colour throughout, the choice is yours!

Lip Blush.

As we age our lips naturally lose pigmentation, and as a result, can look as though they are blending into our skin. The lip blush treatment gives them a new lease of life, without you having to worry about smudges or reapplying lipstick throughout the day.

Not only will the lip blush treatment add a subtle pop of colour to your lips, but it will also enhance your cupid’s bow and lip line creating a perfectly symmetrical shape. This makes your lips look fuller and juicier, offering a timeless, flattering look, with no harsh lines or edges. – no fillers required!

With your newly coloured lips, simply add a slick of clear gloss or lip balm to add some subtle shine to your lips.

Fuller lips VS lip filler

When I first analyse your lips during our consultation, I will check how much available lip tissue you have around the border of your lips. I utilize as much of this lip tissue as possible to create a fuller effect.

This millimeter or two allows us to enhance the size, without extending past the edges of your lip (Vermilion border). So it is important to note that a Lip Blush tattoo does not enlarge your lips like ‘lip filler’ would, it simply gives the illusion of fuller lips.

Frequently Asked Questions.

What is lip blush?

Lip blushing is a type of semipermanent cosmetic tattooing procedure achieved by depositing pigments in your lips using small needles. Lip blushing focuses on altering both colour and shape to create younger-looking lips. While also sometimes called lip tattooing, this is more of a cosmetic enhancement rather than traditional tattoo art.

How long does lip blush last?

Results will always vary from person to person but your new lip colour will look vibrant and fresh for around 24 months. At this point the colour won’t have faded completely, but a touch-up appointment is recommended to maintain the gorgeous appearance.

What to expect?

There will be moderate swelling and sensitivity for the first 5 days. A cold compress can assist to reduce swelling.

During the initial healing period, there will be minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin – a bit like chapped lips. It is very important not to pick at the the dry skin, and rather let it flake off on its own.

Expect the colour to eventually lighten by up to 40% once the healing process is complete. The colour may appear uneven at different stages of the healing process. Be patient. Once your lips start to settle down, more colour will appear.

I have lip fillers. Do I need to wait before I have lip blush?

Lip fillers are a great pairing with lip blush since it can help perfect the overall shape. If you plan on getting lip fillers before or after, please wait at least 2 weeks between each treatment.

Can I still wear lipstick over my lip blush?

Absolutely. Lip blush is a very natural effect – one could say ‘an every-day’ look. When you need to ‘glam up’, just pop some lippy over the top.

How do I prepare for my lip blushing session?

Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oils, vitamin E, niacin, or drink excessive alcohol and caffeine at least 48 hours prior to your procedure.

If you have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex) and are scheduling a lip enhancement we advise you to use anti-herpes medication, for example, Zovirax ointment that can be obtained from a chemist. Use the preparation 1-week prior and 1-week after your enhancement, 5 times a day to reduce the incidence of an outbreak by 50%. Oral anti-herpes medication (available on prescription) will control the incidence of an outbreak more or less completely. Micro-pigmentation does not cause cold sores, however, if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the nervous system and can be aroused by the infusion process.

IPL laser hair removal around the mouth should be carried out no less than 2 weeks prior to your procedure.

Waxing and bleaching treatments should be performed no less than 2 weeks prior to your procedure.

Electrolysis treatments should be performed no less than 2 weeks prior to your procedure.

Dermal fillers in the lip should be performed no less than 2 weeks prior to your procedure.
